Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the whole process take?

The entire process from registration to leaving takes about 45-60 minutes. The actual blood collection only takes 8-10 minutes. The rest is registration, health screening, and post-donation rest.

Does donating blood hurt?

You may feel a brief pinch when the needle is inserted, similar to a small prick. After that, most donors report little to no discomfort during the donation process. Our trained staff ensures your comfort throughout.

How often can I donate blood?

You can donate whole blood every 90 days (about 3 months). This allows your body to fully replenish the donated blood cells. Platelet donations can be made more frequently - every 7 days, up to 24 times a year.

Will I feel weak after donating?

Some donors may feel slightly lightheaded immediately after donating. This is normal and passes quickly. Eating well before, staying hydrated, and resting for 10-15 minutes afterwards helps prevent any discomfort. You can resume normal activities within a few hours.

Is blood donation safe?

Absolutely. All equipment is sterile and for single use only. There is zero risk of contracting any infection from donating blood. Every donation site follows strict medical protocols supervised by qualified healthcare professionals.
